Augsburg Qualification 15th

Today was the qualification race for Augsburg World Cup.

C2 was the first class of this morning so now we're back chilling at the hotel whilst our girls and C1s race their qualification.

Our race was pretty manic with a big time loss on both runs meaning we had to scramble down the rest of our runs to be sure of qualifying. In the end we've made it with a bit to spare in 15th place. It's not where we'd choose to have been but it really doesn't matter as the job is done for today. Surprise winner of qualifying was the French crew Voyemant/Troquenet (see link below) who delivered two solid clean runs. HU/Shu from China were 2nd showing that they also have good pace on Augsburg after they're first medal in Prague two weeks ago. The Hochschorners were fast but had a couple of touches so they were third.

Semi's and Finals for us and the Mens K1 are tomorrow and the course design looks wild so should be exciting.
