Mark Delaney :: 26 miles :: 02hrs 58min 12secs

It's a bit late as the Marathon was last Sunday but we thought we should update everyone with the news that our coach, Delaney, was successful in his quest to run The Loch Ness Marathon in under three hours. He clocked a time of 2:58:12 to finish 4th in his Class (Male 40+). Having once again proven himself a hyper-athlete he has now announced his official retirement from running! Well Done Mark!

Also racing last Sunday Etienne finished a creditable 15th in the Mens Kayak Race at the Dutch Open. Despite paddling a semi-submersible craft he proved that he's "Still Got It!" in men's kayak although he was beaten by a girl (Jana Dukatova would have been 13th in MK1!)... Well done to Rob Neave and Louise Donnington who both collected Silver medals and 5hrs of Flowriding! Follow the link below to check out the official results.

For me it's been a frustrating and tedious week of exercise bike, paddling ergo and upper body weights as i wait for my knee injury to settle down. Unfortunately it's taking longer than expected and has meant that we are going to miss a two week training camp in China. On the plus side though it gives us a longer rest out of the C2 and means we have more time at home to catch up on things before we start travelling again. It's also kick started work on modifying our current C2 design, The Miami Wombat. Hopefully we'll have a plug to get involved with by the end of next week.

So altogether not a complete disaster, it's frustrating to miss China as it would have been a lot of fun but there's plenty for us to do here in Nottingham.

Whilst being a little bored at home I put together a new photo gallery of action shots from the races this summer. Follow the link below to check it out.
